7 September 2025 marks a truly memorable day at HCFBTR, where our dear sister Laura embraced Islam by declaring her syahadah in front of almost 30 people, including her beloved parents, school and university friends, and colleagues from different backgrounds and faiths.
Laura has been attending the NMNR sessions for more than a year and a half despite her busy schedule and frequent work travels abroad. Alhamdulillah, during the session we were able to share explanations about Islam, the meaning of the syahadah, the pillars of Iman, the pillars of Islam, as well as the responsibilities of Muslim children towards non-Muslim parents. The floor was later opened for questions, which her parents and friends warmly engaged in.
What was supposed to end by 11:30am extended until almost 1:00pm—proof of the heartfelt discussions and emotions that filled the hall. Tears flowed as Laura uttered the blessed testimony of faith, including from those who were present.
We pray that Allah eases Laura’s journey as a Muslim, grants her deep understanding of the religion, and showers her with His mercy and love always. May Allah also open the hearts of all who witnessed today’s syahadah to the beauty of Islam.
